The Future of the Truck

I plan to get the truck back when I get out of college and have some money so that I can do some more extensive and more than likely costly renovations on the truck.
First of all I want to start with a bare frame and build up from there.  Sandblasting it and painting the frame.  I will also put on independent front suspension so that I can put power steering on it.  I will also probably put a new rear end in it (depending on the engine and transmission), but that is not definite yet.  As far as engines go, there is currently a 302 cu. inch V-8 engine in it now.  I am thinking about getting it rebuilt and cleaned up and sticking with it.  The exhaust system will be modified to get dual exhaust.  Then i will start putting the body back on.  I have two options in mind where i will go from here.

Option 1
This option is the conservative one that leaves the truck in original condition.  I will make sure the fenders are in perfect condition as well as the bed and just put everything back on cleaning everything up. The boards in the bed will be replaced with oak or redwood.  The tires will be approx. what I have on them now, except the rear tires will be a little bit smaller and a bit wider.  New rims will probably be bought, but not necessarily, I like the smoothies that are on it now.

Option 2
This is the option where I pretty change most of the truck.  Ideally i would like to put a fiberglass front end on it, which would be one piece and would tilt forward toward the front of the truck instead of opening like a regular hood. (This would solve any problems we had with the front fenders)  I would also put suicide doors on it so that they would open backwards. Instead of a bench seat in the front it would be replaced by buckets with a console in the center. The boards in the bed instead of being wood they would be replaced with chrome plated steel flats.  The frame would also be modified for this option because i want to put extra wide tires on the back, which would mean tubbing out the frame and getting a shorter rear axle.
