The History of My Truck

This 1956 Ford F-100 was my first vehicle when I turned 16.  Two days after I got the truck I tipped it on its top which led to three months of repairing it.  We bought a spare parts truck which consisted of a cab (mainly what we needed) a frame and most of the fenders. Basically I have the complete body of a second 56' Ford pickup except for the cab.  After three months of working on it every day we had the truck in working condition.  I had sanded and repainted the interior while it was in the assembly stage.  When I received it, it was primer gray, and as you can tell it is still primer gray.  We just sanded it down and re-primered it after getting it put back together.  During the next two years I wanted to get most of the dents pounded out and bondoed, and get a paint job on it.  That never happened.  We did work on the fenders and got the rear fenders to a state of near perfection.  We also put new wood slats in the bed due to the rotting of the old slats.  The bench seat in the cab was rotting so we took the challenge of reupholstering it ourselves, which went great and looked really nice in the truck.  Right now the main body work that needs to be done is to get the front fenders smoothed out and fill all the holes in the bed of the truck (which is the most difficult part).   Currently my father is taking care of the truck and trying to pick up where i left off, hoping to get it painted soon.
